SINGULAR
A burst of colours that highlight the idea of uniqueness and singularity: a rare albino peacock, a single read circle, the unique mixture of colours in an abstract painting.
Peacock, Ohara Koson (1925).
An albino peacock seen from the front, its tail open in a perfect half-circle of whites. Ohara Koson was one of the great japanese masters of kachō-e (the art of birds and flowers). Private collection.
Dlia Golosa, Pl. 24, El Lissitzky (1923).
A bright red circle on a quiet ground, one of the small symbols El Lissitzky designed for Dlia Golosa (For the Voice), a book of poems meant to be read aloud. Each poem had its own picture in the index, so a child could find a favourite just by looking. Held at the Museum of Modern Art (New York), not on exhibition.
Stillleben, Alexej von Jawlensky (1917).
A burst of curves and colour, Jawlensky believed colour could carry feeling all on its own. Private collection.
Format & Paper: Each print is produced as a museum-quality Giclée print on Hahnemühle German Etching, a warm, textured cotton paper that honours the depth and tonal richness of each work.
Size: Ohara Koson — Peacock · 60 × 80 cm · El Lissitzky — Dlia Golosa, Pl. 24 · 30 × 40 cm · Alexej von Jawlensky — Stillleben · 40 × 50 cm
